The ideal candidate is passionate about soccer, committed to player growth, and eager to contribute to a competitive and mission-aligned team environment. This role includes assisting with coaching, managing equipment, and supporting team logistics, including transportation.

Responsibilities:

Assist the head coach in planning and running effective practices focused on skill development, team strategy, and conditioning. Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, tactical decisions, and sideline communication. Provide individual coaching and feedback to student-athletes to support growth and confidence. Assist with driving the team bus for practices and games, ensuring student safety and punctuality. Help manage and maintain team equipment, uniforms, and training gear. Promote a positive, disciplined team culture aligned with Cristo Rey’s values and expectations. Communicate effectively with the head coach, players, families, and school staff about schedules and team updates. Support off-season training and conditioning sessions as needed. Ensure adherence to school and league policies related to safety, eligibility, and conduct.

Qualifications:

Previous coaching or playing experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred. Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and enthusiasm for developing young athletes. Team-first mindset and ability to work collaboratively with head coach and athletics staff. Valid driver’s license and willingness to assist with transportation. Strong communication and organizational skills. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience managing athletic equipment and team logistics is a plus. Understanding of adolescent development and positive coaching practices.
