The ideal candidate is committed to the growth of student-athletes both on and off the field and eager to foster a team culture rooted in discipline, sportsmanship, and continuous improvement. This role includes leadership in coaching, equipment oversight, and team transportation responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead effective practice sessions that emphasize skill development, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning. Make strategic decisions during games, including player rotations, formations, and in-game adjustments. Provide individualized feedback and support to help student-athletes grow in confidence and ability. Drive the team bus to practices and games, ensuring safe and reliable transportation. Maintain and organize team equipment, uniforms, and training materials for regular use. Cultivate a positive and accountable team culture aligned with Cristo Rey’s mission and expectations. Communicate regularly with players, families, and school leadership about schedules, performance, and team news. Ensure compliance with school and league guidelines around eligibility, safety, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications:

Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level is preferred. Strong understanding of soccer tactics, training methodology, and player development. Ability to inspire and mentor student-athletes in a team-oriented environment. Valid driver’s license and willingness to support transportation needs. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience managing team logistics and athletic equipment is a plus. Familiarity with youth development and supporting high school-aged athletes.
