Position Summary:

The Carolina University softball program is seeking a highly motivated and faith-aligned individual to serve as a Graduate Assistant with a primary focus on pitching for the 2025-2027 seasons. This is a rare opportunity to take full responsibility for leading and managing the pitching staff , including instruction, development, and in-game strategy. The GA will work closely with the head coach while pursuing a master’s degree, gaining valuable hands-on coaching experience in a competitive NAIA program.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the pitching staff , including training, mechanics, bullpen sessions, and individualized development plans. Serve as the primary pitching coach in both practice and game settings with significant autonomy Assist with overall practice planning, game-day strategy, and player development Play an active role in recruiting, especially identifying and evaluating pitching prospects Coordinate travel arrangements and help manage team logistics and equipment Monitor academic progress and mentor student-athletes Ensure compliance with all NAIA, CAC, and Carolina University policies Represent the program in a manner consistent with the mission and values of a Christian institution Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required Must be accepted into a Carolina University graduate program and maintain full-time enrollment Collegiate playing or coaching experience, particularly in pitching, is strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel A committed Christian who will uphold the mission and standards of Carolina University Valid driver’s license required

Compensation and Benefits:
