Franklin Academy is a charter high school in Wake County and the soccer program competes at the
NSCAA 2A
level. Franklin Academy has a strong soccer program history, with a recent state championship in the 2023-24 season. The Boys Junior Varsity team is a critical component to the overall Franklin Academy soccer program development.

Athletic Director Description:
Franklin Academy High School is seeking enthusiastic, professional, and experienced candidates for the Boys Soccer JV Head Coach position . Candidates will be required to work with the Varsity Boys Head Coach to implement program tactical and technical focus. The JV head coach must demonstrate strong effective organizational and communication skills with students, parents, and administration. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and implementing training sessions focused on dynamic technical warmups and tactical applications that replicate the game. A heavy focus needs to be on player / team technical and tactical development. A qualified candidate should have coaching experience (Club Soccer – Challenge or Classic or prior High School soccer coaching experience) and coaching education (D License preferred – not required) to support player and team development. (Coaching education is not required) Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 100% participation and attendance at all JV soccer training sessions and games through the fall season. Implementing well-organized and structured training sessions consistent with the direction of the Franklin Academy Boys Soccer Program (Varsity coach will provide resources) Create a positive team environment that promotes team excellence and positively reflects on Franklin Academy. Coordinating competition schedules with the Athletic Director Maintaining accurate records and other required administrative work (rosters, schedules, results, and team equipment) Provide effective communication with team, players, varsity coach, and athletic director.
