The Role:

As an Assistant Youth Soccer Coach, you will support the head coach in running soccer practices, leading drills, and ensuring a positive and safe experience for all players. You will assist in organizing and executing practice sessions, helping develop players’ skills, and fostering a love for soccer in a non-competitive environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and is passionate about sports and child development. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in coaching or working with young athletes. Typical classes are 30-45 minutes. Approximately 3-4 classes per day, typically morning hours, but could require afternoons as well. Requirements Assist the head coach in organizing and running soccer practice sessions. Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable and engaged. Support the development of children’s skills in a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere. Provide positive reinforcement to foster growth and celebrate success. Assist Head Coach lead small groups or individual activities as needed. Assist Head Coach set up and break down activities, ensuring everything is ready for each session. Attend coaching training and stay informed about best practices in youth coaching.
