This position is based in the following office location: New Hampshire The opportunity Southern New Hampshire University’s campus in Manchester, NH is looking for a part-time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. You will report directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and collaborate with teams to help us enhance our athletes’ physical abilities. What you’ll do: Participate in programming/training specified sports teams in the varsity weight room. Help monitor the warm-up and conditioning programs. Help with the set-up and breakdown of team lifting sessions Provide input as to the evaluation of the athlete’s/team’s performance and progress Help us support recruiting visits for prospective student-athletes Participate in training and teaching of student fellowships, interns, and staff Help in the daily maintenance of the Varsity weight room Additional responsibilities can be assigned with discussion between the Head Coach Strength Coach, Director of Athletics, and the Assistant Coach Demonstrate knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, and NCAA What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s Degree 1+ years of experience coaching strength and conditioning Hold or working towards certification from one of the following organizations: CSCS (NSCA), USAW, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA. Current CRP/AED certification A valid driver’s license. The position, governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program. You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Per NCAA rule, a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as outlined in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for repetitive violations. #LI-Onsite We believe real innovation comes from inclusion
