Sports Instructors – Part Time 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Scotch Plains, NJ We are looking for individuals interested in working with children of all ages to help & encourage them to have fun with sports. Individuals should be responsible, motivated and want to work in a fast-paced environment. Under the direction of the Director of Sports & Fine Arts, sports instructors must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Instructors will promote the enjoyment of sports activities while improving physical competence, developing confidence, and teaching basic skill development, while promoting good sportsmanship. Knowledge of sports and ability to work with children is required. The hourly rate is $17.67.

Essential Functions:

Work with children, ages preschool through teens, to promote the enjoyment of sports activities Provide encouragement and coaching during class activities Plan and develop curriculum geared towards program attendees Maintain a safe and fun environment for participants Ability to communicate with parents and relate effectively with the children in the program; Ability to work as a team with other YMCA staff members.
