About Hasek’s Heroes:

Hasek’s Heroes is a nonprofit youth hockey organization committed to providing free hockey programming, equipment, and ice time to underserved children and families in Buffalo. Founded by legendary NHL goalie Dominik Hasek, our mission is to break down barriers to the game of hockey and empower youth through teamwork, discipline, and mentorship.

Position Summary:

We are seeking passionate, energetic, and reliable Coaches/Instructors to join our team. This role involves teaching fundamental hockey skills, promoting teamwork, and serving as a positive role model for youth participants. Coaches play a key role in fostering a fun, safe, and inclusive environment both on and off the ice.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on-ice hockey sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship Instruct players of varying ages and skill levels, with a focus on beginner development Provide guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to all players Ensure player safety by enforcing rules and maintaining a positive, respectful environment Collaborate with other coaches, volunteers, and staff to deliver quality programming Help with equipment distribution and collection as needed Attend scheduled practices, games, and special events Communicate regularly with Program Director and follow the
