HIGHLIGHTS
The SUNY Geneseo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, a part of the Division of Student and Campus Life, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Head Coach for Women’s Softball. This full-time, 10-month, fully-benefited position will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the softball program and will be assigned a secondary duty or duties based on the skill set of the selected candidate and the needs of the department (eg: game management, assist the strength and conditioning coach, assist the intramural and recreation director). In this role, you will be responsible for administering all aspects of the program with specific duties including but not limited to: + recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes; + individual skill development of student-athletes; + scheduling; + budget preparation and management; + participation in department fundraising, community service, and alumni engagement efforts; + monitoring academic performance; + adherence to all NCAA , Empire 8, and SUNY Geneseo rules and regulations Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s degree + Prior coaching experience at the collegiate level + Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion + Ability to establish and maintain positive learning environments for students and collaborative relationships with colleagues Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Percentage Of Time 10% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 3: Budget Management/Fundraising + Submit and manage annual budget within deadline established by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation. + Follow state, Geneseo Foundation and department purchasing regulations by submitting all purchases to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation for prior approval. + Pursue fundraising opportunities to supplement departmental budget as necessary.
