Salary/Pay Scale:
$4,246
Requirements:
- New York State coaching certification https://www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert/certificate/coaching.html
- Completion of CDC or NFHS concussion management course.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on academics, sportsmanship, and character development.
- Possess the ability to provide a challenging, first class, positive experience for our students, while striving for excellence and teaching lifelong lessons.
- Two years of successful sport specific JV or varsity coaching cross country participation experience preferred.
Description:
The varsity coach is expected to instruct students in the skills and strategies necessary to be successful at the varsity level and to serve as a leader by overseeing the entire program at all levels while ensuring that the program is conducted within the philosophy and policies for Interscholastic Athletics as developed by the administration. Beyond coaching the varsity team, duties may include, but are not limited to: assisting in the budgeting and scheduling process for all levels; keeping accurate and detailed statistics; attending meetings; assisting in hiring of all coaches; maintaining professional growth through attendance of coaching clinics or conference; and any other duties assigned by the athletic director.
