Location:
Huntington, NY Hey, I’m Eric — owner of Breakthrough Performance. We’re a small-group personal training gym built on real relationships, real results, and real coaching. We help two groups of people: Busy adults (mostly 40+) who want to feel strong, drop body fat, and stay pain-free. Athletes who want to get faster, stronger, and more resilient so they can dominate their sport. We’re looking for a coach to join our team. Someone who wants to actually coach — not just count reps or play DJ. This Role is for You if: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people. You can explain training to a mom of three and a high school athlete in a way that clicks. You’re reliable. People can count on you to show up, lead the room, and bring good energy. You’re not afraid to be hands-on — coaching technique, giving feedback, holding people to the standard.
Who We’re Not Looking For:
Someone who wants to wing it. Someone who thinks coaching is just yelling motivational quotes over loud music. Someone who wants to be on their phone more than on the floor.
What You’ll Do:
Coach both personal training clients and athletes in a small-group setting (2-6 people). Track and manage progress, build trust, and communicate clearly with clients. Be part of a close-knit team that actually enjoys what they do.

Details:
Part-time to start , with potential to grow into full-time. We’re flexible for the right person. Pay starts between $20-$35/hour , depending on experience. Future options for benefits like health, PTO, and CEU stipend based on role. Must be able to coach some evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
Positive energy. This is a requirement — not a bonus. Strong communication skills. Be clear, confident, and able to read the room. Some experience coaching (formal or informal) is preferred — but we’ll train the right person. Certification or degree in exercise science, CSCS, CPT, etc. is helpful, but not mandatory.
