Position Title:
Head Varsity Soccer Coach Position Summary:

Villa Joseph Marie High School is seeking a Head Varsity Soccer Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. Season begins August 11, 2025. VJM is a member of the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies and PIAA District 1. VJM has experienced great competitive success, winning many league, District and State Soccer Championships. The Head Coach would oversee the entire Soccer program. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach the varsity team and administer all aspects of the program
  • Assist in the staffing of assistant coaches.
  • Maintain equipment. Provide yearly equipment list prior to the season
  • Attend academic open house events in the Spring and Fall semesters
  • Develop training programs that ensure consistency for the team with varsity and JV coaches
  • Provide technical and tactical coaching to improve individual and team performance
  • Foster a competitive, inclusive, and supportive team environment
  • Oversee all team communication with parents and students
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational, institutional, and governing body regulations(PIAA)
  • Oversee off-season training in compliance with PIAA
  • Attend Mandatory PIAA coaches meeting
  • Have a pre-season parent meeting prior to each season
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with alumni, donors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure all athletes adhere to safety protocols
  • Comply with PIAA state coaches requirements, background checks and PIAA safety certifications Qualifications include: 3+ years of soccer coaching experience, preferably in a leadership role Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter along with three athletic references to Amy Barr, Athletic Director, at abarr@vjmhs.
