Job Duties:

The TANF Performance Coach assesses training needs for the case management role, develops training strategies, and provides coaching, training, and technical assistance to new and experienced staff to ensure staff are continually adhering to policies and procedures for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Continually fosters an environment for TANF staff to effectively coach and empower clients to fulfill their individualized goals. Reviews error reports to identify case management issues specific to individual employees and/or individual counties/regions. Using identified problem areas, provides individual training and support or group/workshop training when issues are more systemic. Provides technical assistance to staff by regularly meeting with case managers and supervisors to assess training needs and conduct identified trainings. Develops new worker and veteran training including training materials utilizing the current policy and procedure manuals, SCOSA, CHIP and One Note. Updates and maintains training curriculum, modules, and hand-outs to reflect current policy and procedures. Submits requested reports detailing identified training needs, trainings provided, staff trained and recommendations for improvements, as appropriate. Attends policy and procedure trainings and meetings as scheduled to keep informed of all changes whenever scheduled, requested, or required. Perform other related duties as required and/or directed to include Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency welfare services duties. To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data. Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree and relevant program experience.
