Maryville High School is seeking an assistant coach for the Girls’ Soccer Program.
Position:
Assistant Coach Girls’ Soccer
Start date – July 2025
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years high school coaching experience preferred
Soccer experience at the collegiate level preferred

Qualities:
Dynamic communicator and motivator of student-athletes
Develop and maintains a positive educational environment as the leader of the team.
Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
Be present and active during any activity involving boys soccer athletes.
Coordinate the development, promotion, and retention for the Boys Soccer Program
Develop and organize a regular practice schedule and practice plan along with other coaches to provide both individual and team development along with consistent implementation of expectations.
Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Actively support student athlete post-secondary goals.
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (TSSAA), opponents, officials, staff, parents, and students.
Incorporate best practices into a growth-oriented teaching/coaching style
Perform duties assigned to all coaches by administrators
Must develop and manage a team budget strictly according to bookkeeping procedures.
Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan document
