JOB GOAL
To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, develop an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and increase their self-esteem.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Conducts cheerleading tryouts annually. 2. Maintains a cheerleading constitution. 3. Organizes and conducts necessary practices. 4. Serves as liaison between the squad, coaches, Athletic Director, and RBMS administration. 5. Schedules and assists cheer squads in planning pep assemblies. 6. Keeps uniforms in good repair and stores them appropriately. 7. Assists in selecting uniforms and handles ordering uniforms and equipment. 8. Supervises all cheerleading fundraising activities. 9. Report any injury to the Athletic Director and administration as soon as possible. Provide aid and comfort to the cheerleader and ensure that the injury receives immediate and appropriate care. Complete the necessary accident report forms for school records. 11. Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the board. Responsibilities Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses. State Law (link
