WSD GIRLS MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER CO-COACH
Winooski School District 60 Normand Street, Winooski, VT 05404
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Certification as a coach, or equivalent 2. Prior experience in the sport is preferred. 3. Coaching experience desirable 4. Preference given to employees of the district.
REPORTS TO
Athletic Director
SUPERVISES
All athletes in sports, assistant coaches, volunteer coaches and helpers.
JOB GOALS
To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved. 2. Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season. 3. Works closely with the athletic director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests. 4. Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms, as appropriate. 5. Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, all parental permission forms and similar paperwork. 6. Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present. 7. Clearly defines rules and regulations for participation in sport and ensures that all participating students and parents are informed of the same. 8. Enforces performance criteria per Board policies for eligibility in interscholastic competition in his/her sport. 9. Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students. 10. Other as assigned by Athletic Director 11. Working closely and directly with the Varsity Head Coach. Pay Range for the fall season: $1241.99-$2732.37 depending on experience.
