Position:
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (ISEEM) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) invites applicants for two clinical professors (also referred to as professors of practice) with experience in the area of Engineering Management. The successful candidates are to be hired at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor, depending on demonstrated experience in guiding research and teaching graduate courses. The successful candidate must have earned a PhD degree in Engineering Management or Industrial Engineering. Candidates with a degree in a related discipline with significant research and experience in engineering management, technology management, or organizational development will also be considered. We seek candidates with a strong history of Engineering Management responsibility, professional experience, and a strong understanding of both basic and applied academic research. The workload expectation is teaching three courses a semester and advising of PhD students in the Engineering Management program. About the
Department:
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management currently has six tenured/tenure-earning faculty, one clinical associate professor and one lecturer. The enrollment within the department is about 135 undergraduate students and 170 graduate students. The faculty research strengths are in the areas of Computational Design, Systems Engineering, Human-System Integration, Lean Manufacturing, Model-Based Design, Digital Engineering and Digital Twins. NASA, DOD, US
Army, the Alabama Department of Transportation and industry. About the
