Appointments to the faculty of The University of Alabama are basedon the personnel requirements of the University’s academic programsand on the goal of achieving and maintaining excellence in itsteaching, research, and service/academic citizenshipactivities.   • Responsibilities will include duties in the Department ofObstetrics and Gynecology teaching medical students, residents andOB Fellows in clinical training, research and scholarly activity aswell as providing direct patient care in outpatient/ambulatorysetting.

The position also includes practice in a hospital settingat DCH Regional Medical Center (Call Coverage 1:5). Minimum Qualifications M.D. or D.O. and Board eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics andGynecology required. Candidates must meet Alabama medical licensurerequirements and complete licensure within the state prior to startdate. Preferred Qualifications A track record of scholarship, focusing on learning and teaching ina health professions or medical school environment would bedesirable but not required. TheCollege also provides medical student education as the TuscaloosaRegional Campus of the four-campus University of Alabama School ofMedicine, based at UAB in Birmingham.
