Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) invites applications for a dynamic early-career researcher in cybersecurity to join our faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor. This prestigious position includes a generous startup package of $200,000, designation as an Arkansas Research Alliance Innovation Scholar, and a fellowship appointment with the new Cyberspace Operations Research and Education (CORE) Center. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with industry and military partners, participate actively in the Arkansas Research Alliance (ARA) program, and contribute significantly to developing a cutting-edge graduate program focused on offensive cybersecurity operations and AI security. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or

Experience:

Earned doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,InformationTechnology, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline;
Proven track record of cybersecurity research and scholarly publications;
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels;
Significant experience with community engagement, outreach, or collaborative partnerships.
Preferred Education and/or

Experience:

Eligibility to obtain U.S. government security clearance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver courses within the new graduate-level cybersecurity program, focusing on offensive cybersecurity operations and AI security;
Engage actively in collaborative research initiatives through the CORE Center with universities, industry, and government agencies;
Enhance and teach cybersecurity, AI, and cyber-informed engineering courses at undergraduate and graduate levels;
Establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program;
Produce high-quality scholarly publications and actively present research at major conferences;
Supervise graduate students and potentially postdoctoral fellows;
Participate in professional societies and contribute to academic community governance.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Central Arkansas cybersecurity industry representatives;
