Job Description The University of Miami of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases
Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services
Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital
Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff

Desired Qualifications:

MD/DO Degree required
ACGME?US?Internal Medicine Residency
Completed 3-year

ACGME US

Endocrinology Fellowship
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine?and?

Endocrinology (or board eligible)?
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)?
Valid DEA licensure?
Current ACLS and BLS certification required
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)
Valid DEA licensure
