Job ID Position # The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) at Augusta University is seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor that will provide instruction for students in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program. Effort will be made up of instruction, scholarship and service. Instruction will consist of didactic and laboratory environments. The person chosen for this position will participate in scholarship activities to include research, presentations, and publications and participate in service to the institution, college and department by serving onmittees at all levels.
The tenure status (on tenure track, tenure upon appointment, or not on tenure track) will be determined based on the qualifications of the final candidate and will be confirmed in the final offer along with position expectations. Responsibilities
Provide instruction for students in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program. Effort will be made up of instruction, scholarship and service. Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or PHD in closely related health care field and undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
ASCP Generalist Certification
Experience in molecular diagnostics, immunology, and clinical chemistry
Assistant Professor earlylevel career as a faculty member years experience in related field.
Associate Professor midlevel career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor orparable training, background, and experience.
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)’s requirements for institutional accreditation;
Evidence of ability as a teacher;
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview,plete biographical data, and rmendations.
