DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
This role serves to guide and inspire students to learn by planning, conducting, and evaluating instructional activities geared to student learning characteristics and designed to achieve collegiate standards. The position requires that the successful faculty member have for each course a course outline, well-stated behavioral objectives, enabling activities, and performance measures. It also requires the availability of the faculty member to students for counseling (in conference).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Serve on university, college and departmental committees Provide required academic advisement to students Engage in research and scholarly activities Report to a Chair or other higher-level administrator
Be responsible for teaching, research/creative works, service and related administrative activities. Be responsible for academic advising
May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees
Perform other relative duties as assigned by the Department Head and the Dean
Qualifications
Minimum:
An earned Doctorate in Business with a major in Computer Information Systems (ABD considered)
Preferred:
Evidence of grant writing, research, and teaching at the college/university level is a plus
