POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES
The person hired will become part of a small, collegial department with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. A successful candidate will have teaching and research interests in public policy/public law as it relates to digital governance and law, with the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our political science undergraduate program as well as a new MA program in Media Studies. The normal teaching load is three courses per quarter. Responsibilities will also include advising undergraduate political science majors. A strong commitment to exemplary teaching at the undergraduate level, scholarship/research activity, and good interpersonal and collegial skills are expected.

The School of History and Social Sciences offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science, History, and Sociology, as well as minors in Geography and Philosophy. The campus is located in Ruston, Louisiana, 70 miles east of Shreveport and 30 miles west of Monroe on Interstate 20.
