Position Summary The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, at Manning Family Children’s, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in Interventional Cardiology to join its growing program. The Heart Center faculty includes a team of two accomplished CV surgeons and 17 full-time pediatric cardiologists, with sub-specialty expertise in Pediatric and Fetal Imaging, Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Intensive Care, and Adult Congenital Cardiology. Located in uptown New Orleans, The Heart Center is proud to be part of the only freestanding quaternary care Children’s Hospital in Louisiana and the top academic heart program in the state. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (non-tenure, clinical track), and will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience. The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in interventional cardiology. Incumbent upon the candidate is continued development and growth in being a part of a comprehensive state-of-the art interventional cardiology program at Children’s Hospital. Faculty within the Heart Center tout expertise in Fontan management, home-monitoring, neurodevelopment, pulmonary hypertension, pediatric coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Currently, approximately 260 heart catheterizations (75% interventional), 200 cardiothoracic surgeries, and 8,000 ambulatory visits are performed each year at Manning Family Children’s.
