Position Summary This is part time 80% effort position on the non-tenure clinical track as an Assistant or Associate Professor level. The OMS department’s primary responsibility is the training and development of pre- and postdoctoral trainees as well as meeting the OMS treatment needs of the community. Our 6-year integrated

residency program is regarded as one of the busiest and best CODA accredited training programs in the country. The department has a long history of recruiting quality students/residents and graduating top-rated clinicians. Ability to practice full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is required. Preferred fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery, Microvascular Reconstruction, Craniofacial Surgery or Cosmetic Facial Surgery. Candidate will also participate in the Faculty Practice, provide call coverage at our level 1 trauma facility, University Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, leadership, patient care, service, and scholarship. Preference will be given to those with a special interest and experience in Head and Neck Microvascular Surgery. Additional Position Information Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. A past record of scholarly activity is desirable, and the pursuit of scholarly activity is expected. Numerous opportunities for collaboration exist within the school of dentistry and the LSU Health Science Center at New Orleans.
