Department History Position Summary The History Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor position in medieval history, c. 500-1500, with a focus on European history within a global context. The appointment begins July 1, 2025, and is for two years. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester and should design their curriculum to complement the History Department’s other offerings. A PhD is expected by the date of appointment.
