We are interested in hiring an Assistant Adjunct Professor to teach a one-semester course in Fall 2025. The course is titled ME 321L Mechanical Analysis for Design, which is a required undergraduate course and covers the calculation of 3D stresses, strains, and deflections encountered in mechanical designs. Types of problems and topics covered in this course include curved beams, contact stresses, press/shrink fits, reliability and uncertainty analysis, failure theories, fatigue, and fracture mechanics. Computational methods of analysis, such as finite elements analysis are covered as well. The course is a required course in the undergraduate curriculum in Mechanical Engineering and is taken by Juniors.’
