Assistant Professor, Visual Arts 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 833 Montlieu Ave, High Point, NC 27262 High Point University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Visual Arts beginning in August of 2025.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will: teach a 3-3 load of undergraduate studio courses per year including ceramics and at least two of the three foundation courses (drawing, 2D design, 3D design); participate in innovative teaching and curriculum development; conduct and disseminate scholarship and/or juried creative activity as appropriate to appointment; advise and mentor undergraduate students; and actively participate in department, school and university committees.

Required Qualifications:

Master of Fine Arts; Teaching experience appropriate to rank; Effective oral and written communication skills; Evidence of a program of research and/or creative scholarship appropriate to rank.

Desired Qualifications:

Evidence of focus on student-centered learning; Evidence of participation in innovative teaching and curriculum development; Ability to interact with colleagues in a team environment. Experience within a program that is NASAD accredited.
