Biology Diversity North Carolina Wesleyan University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology for a 9-month appointment starting in August 2025. The successful candidate’s duties include design and implement a Microbiology lecture and laboratory for nursing students as well as teaching other potential courses, such as Anatomy and Physiology, General Introductory Biology, or other courses that support the program. The responsibilities will also include advising undergraduate students, promoting program growth and academic excellence, overseeing student interns, and serving on internal committees. Per the university’s standards, the regular workload for faculty is 12 credit hours per semester. Faculty members are expected to engage students through traditional and innovative instructional strategies. Qualifications:

An earned doctoral degree in Biology/Microbiology or related field. ABD candidates will be considered but must be on track to complete the Ph.D. by August 2026. Previous college or university-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
