Job Description
Job Duties:
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at East Carolina University seeks a board certified/board eligible Physiatrist to provide care in its inpatient CARF -accredited units (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, pediatric rehab, general rehab, and neuro rehab), in departmental and affiliated outpatient settings, and to provide consult services, as needed. Opportunities exist for performance of musculoskeletal care, musculoskeletal ultrasound, amputee care, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, spasticity management including baclofen pumps, Botox and phenol injections, interventional pain management, EMG / NCS , wound/hyperbaric medicine, and other clinical services. The candidate will participate in the training of residents, medical students, and allied health students. Research is supported and is a valued component of the position. Fixed Term or Tenure Track position available. At the title / rank of Assistant Professor or higher. The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) serves the rehabilitation needs of the 1.4 million people in a 29-county region of eastern North Carolina and is located within ECU Health Rehabilitation Center at ECU Health Medical Center, with Spinal Cord, Traumatic Brain Injury, General Rehab, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and Neuro Rehab Units.
