Job Description The Chemistry & Physics Department of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks applicants for a tenure-track appointment in Chemistry at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful applicant will be committed to teaching undergraduate students through both the standard academic curriculum and engagement in experimental research. Duties include classroom and laboratory instruction, university service, and active scholarship. The ideal candidate should possess experience in teaching at the undergraduate level, either as a teacher or teacher assistant. The responsibilities for this role will encompass teaching 12 credit hours of classes and labs per semester and actively participating in university service duties. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to conduct their own research project, utilizing our extensive array of instrumentation, while engaging students in undergraduate research initiatives.
