The Education Academic Unit at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH invites applications for a non-tenure track, Professor of Practice, position to commence in August 2025. The core functions are : Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in inclusive special education and technology.
Develop/improve the undergraduate elementary education literacy curriculum.
Teach graduate level literacy course for the special education program.
Teach courses for educator licensure programs.
Academic advising with undergraduate students. Duties/Responsibilities 85%: Teaching 15%:

Service Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

Master’s in education or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of learners and collaborate effectively with students and colleagues.
Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching.
Skills to serve as an academic adviser and mentor for undergraduate students.
Expertise to teach one or more of the following courses: Elementary Literacy, Special Education. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Education or a related field.
Five years of K-12 teaching experience
Certification as a trainer in an early literacy program such as LETRS, Wilson Reading System, Keys to Literacy, or Orton-Gillingham.
Background in establishing digital learning environments and utilizing technology in instruction.
Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining partnerships and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
Participation in collaborative projects and programs with colleagues and students across the workplace.
