Job Description:
The Massry School of Business seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in the field of Quantitative Finance to teach courses in the School’s masters and undergraduate programs. The appointment is for the academic year 2025-2026, with the possibility of renewal for
AY2026-2027.
The default load is three courses each semester, but a load reduction is possible for a candidate who makes a credible and significant commitment to scholarly research output. The ability to teach financial technology (FinTech) concepts and expose students to digital-finance tools is highly desirable, as is contributing to the diversity of the Department’s expertise. Applicants are requested to submit a CV, research statement, evidence of teaching abilities, and three letters of recommendation. Located on the uptown campus, the Department has six full-time and four part-time members. It is housed in the Massry School of Business, which offers degrees at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have finished or be close to submitting their dissertation by the beginning of the Fall 2025 semester from a university accredited by a USDOE or international accrediting organization. Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to teach successfully in a university setting. Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to work with and instruct culturally diverse groups of people.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with financial technology and bringing those themes and skills into the student classroom experience.
