Job Description:

With Artificial Intelligence encroaching on areas of journalism centered on the aggregation and dissemination of disparate information, there is a growing need for long-form documentary journalism that highlights critical thinking skills, contextual analysis, and deep human connections. The Professional Communications Department is seeking a journalist with extensive experience in the production of documentaries to give our students an advantage in the rapidly evolving field of mass communications. As professional communicators, our students need to be able direct narratives and guide their audiences. Currently, we anticipate a need for an instructor to teach one of our 400-Level Technical Elective Special Topics courses with an emphasis on documentary production. Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications or a related Communications field
At least five years of experience in Specialized Reporting
Experience in investigative reporting, script writing, journalism videography, and communication technology
