This position is located in Knoxville, TN. The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesia is inviting applications for a part-time faculty position at the rank of non-tenure assistant professor. The successful candidate will provide anesthesia services and participate in resident/fellow teaching, which may include, but is not limited to mock oral examinations, journal clubs, board review lectures, and the resident didactic series, as well as socratic clinical teaching. They will be responsible for the supervision of residents and pain fellows and include research, teaching, and patient care duties. He/she will also serve as an advisor to residents when presenting their case conferences or grand rounds lectures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Must have completed an approved residency in anesthesia.
Board certified anesthesiologist and board certified in pain medicine
Tennessee medical license

Departmental Preferences:

Appointment requires a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and service, including patient care with a background in pain medicine and research.
