EDUCATION COORDINATOR

University of Alabama at Birmingham To coordinate the activities and day-to-day operations for the psychology internship program, psychology post-doctoral programs, and the consult-liaison psychiatry fellowship. To maintain records, schedules, and program information. To perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing, and outgoing psychology interns and psychiatry fellows.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Scheduling:

Coordinates schedules for trainees. Assists in creation of and distributes monthly and annual individual trainee and program schedules.

Evaluation:

Consistently maintains and monitors trainee data and records. Distributes, tracks, and maintains evaluations for trainees.

Recruitment:

Coordinates recruitment for each individual program. Creates and distributes interview schedules and applicant materials.

Onboarding and Offboarding:

Coordinates orientation and human resources onboarding for trainees. Organizes and distributes information for trainees, including providing accurate and timely communication. Plans and organizes early orientation. Organizes offboarding.

Didactics:

Coordinates schedules of seminars and lectures with students, interns, residents, faculty, and staff. Secure and schedule lecture rooms for all student activities. Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics Intermediate or better proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel Aptitude for learning new technology and software Excellent attention to detail and organization skills Excellent formal written and verbal communication skills Experience in higher education Successful candidates will have initiative and ability to think critically

Hourly Range:

$19.80-$32.15 Qualifications Education Associate’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
