Coordinator, Office of Global Learning University of Florida – 4.2 Gainesville, FL Job Details Full-time $50,000 – $58,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Outdoor work Cultural Studies Mid-level Master’s degree Canvas LMS software 2 years Communication skills Teaching Full Job Description Academic program coordination and student advising A) Advise students in the International Scholars and Peace Corps Prep programs. This includes advising on the programs’ academic and co-curricular requirements. B) Track students’ progress, update records, maintain website and Canvas shell, and prepare reports. C) Update and improve online and printed support materials by generating program manuals, updating the Canvas shell and producing orientation and instructional videos. D) Lead in-person and online orientation and workshops for ISP and Peace Corps Prep students including eportfolio showcases and graduation ceremonies. E) Mentor students individually on the development of their eportfolios F) Recruit, manage and train the ISP Ambassadors G) Organize co-curricular international activities in collaboration with other campus units (i.e., Career Connections Center) H) Collaborate with Peace Corps recruiter I) Collaborate with other International Center (i.e., Study Abroad Services, International Student Services…) units as needed Outreach, marketing and communication Curate the content of the International Scholars and Peace Corps Prep programs newsletters, web pages, and promotional flyers. B) Present and represent the International Scholars and Peace Corps Prep programs to diverse audiences across campus through presentations, including preview and tabling events. Support for Faculty and Staff Correspond with faculty and help track virtual exchange projects and other aspects of faculty engagement Design and update training materials, including Canvas courses and manuals Facilitate online and in person sessions for faculty and staff on virtual exchange, COIL for Staff and/or other internationalization topics. Other duties may include communicating with and identifying international virtual exchange partners for faculty and staff Other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:
$50,000 – $58,000/annually
Required Qualifications:
None Preferred:
Master’s degree in international education, global or cultural studies, higher education administration, or other relevant field and at least two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience teaching, advising, and/or engaging students through co-curricular programs (i.e., student life) Experience with program administration Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and nurture mentoring relationships with students. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to speak with diverse audiences, from faculty and staff to large groups of undergraduate students Ability to organize and plan events, manage multiple tasks at once, and to move quickly between tasks Experience in academic program coordination in a higher education environment Experience working or living outside the United States and knowledge of foreign languages. Familiarity with e-portfolio pedagogy Familiarity with COIL/virtual exchange methodology Familiarity with higher education assessment tools Special Instructions to
