Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director in Financial Aid on the Gainesville campus. Financial Aid seeks an experienced aid professional to oversee federal, state, institutional, and VA compliance across all undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director CPOS will work across university offices to monitor all aspects of College Plan of Study including communication with students, parents, and advisors. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to all students. Evaluate to make sure UNG Financial aid Customer service standards are being implemented and followed by all team members through emails, in person meetings and zoom meeting. Provide leadership to the customer service team.
Establish regular check-ins with each of

partner with a clear communication channels. Identify areas of inconsistency and recommendations for improvement. Assess current aid practices and provide reports and recommendations to leadership
Respond to student and advisor inquiries about courses not counting in Plan of Studies
Monitor and interpret federal regulations that affect CPOS and any impacts on university policies and practices.
Support aid officers involved in awarding Veteran’s (VA) Benefits to ensure compliance with Department of Defense standards. Provide support for DoD audits. Work with appropriate offices to ensure compliance with VA disclosure standards.
Conduct training for aid representatives and provide support for questions from aid staff. Conduct monthly training modules designed specifically for the UNG community specifically on CPOS challenges.
Assist with high school events, open houses, and orientations
Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of routine office equipment and procedures.
Knowledge of various software programs
Knowledge of financial aid application procedures and forms.
Requires effective communication skills.
Accurate typing/data entry skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
Ability to utilize BANNER or a similar relational database. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
Five years of experience as financial aid, bank, or compliance.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Completion of all NASFAA Credentials or the NASFAA Financial Aid Administrator Certification Proposed Salary Minimum Starting Salary $54,778 Required Documents to Attach Resume
