Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Adjunct Professor to teach Public Speaking at the undergraduate level. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, practical public speaking experience, and a passion for teaching students how to effectively engage diverse audiences through clear, confident, and persuasive oral presentations. You will guide students through project-based learning, ensuring they develop the technical skills required to bring their game ideas to life while understanding industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and interactive classroom instruction in public speaking fundamentals, including speech composition, delivery techniques, audience analysis, persuasive strategies, and anxiety management. Develop and implement course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental learning outcomes. Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students’ speeches and presentations, ensuring growth and proficiency. Maintain consistent communication with students through office hours, emails, and course management systems to support their academic success. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, and respect for diverse viewpoints Minimum requirements: Master’s degree or higher in Communication, Rhetoric, Public Speaking, or a related field. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level preferred. Proven proficiency and experience in public speaking, presentation, and instructional methods. Ability to effectively use learning management systems and educational technology.
