This role involves instruction for students in 1st through 6th grade, focusing on coding, robotics, Google Classroom, and general computer literacy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology in education and have a strong background in both teaching and instructional technology. The Computer Teacher is responsible for designing and implementing engaging lessons that help students develop foundational and advanced computer skills. Responsibilities also include assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. In addition to classroom instruction, this role includes mentoring teachers in grades 1 through 4, supporting them in integrating technology into their classrooms. The position requires evaluating emerging educational technologies, recommending tools for classroom use, providing basic tech support, and maintaining school hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach computer classes to students in grades 1-6
• Plan and deliver lessons on coding, robotics, and digital tools (e.g., Google Classroom)
• Develop assessments to track student growth and achievement
• Mentor and support 1st-4th grade teachers in classroom technology integration
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and applications for classroom use
• Troubleshoot technology issues and assist with maintenance of hardware/software

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification
• Classroom teaching experience required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced school environment
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Classroom, IXL, BrainPOP, Typetastic, MagicSchool, and basic database management preferred About St.
