Job Description The Computer Engineering faculty member is responsible for
Developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in blockchain, distributed systems, and general computer programming.
Conducting research in blockchain technology, including but not limited to areas like decentralized applications (DApps), consensus algorithms, and cryptographic security.
Publishing research findings in journals and presenting work at conferences in computer science and engineering.
Seeking external funding to support research activities in blockchain and related fields.
Mentoring and supervising students in research and capstone projects, particularly those involving blockchain applications.
Collaborating with faculty across the department to integrate blockchain and programming concepts into multidisciplinary researchinitiatives.
Engaging in service activities within the department, university, and professional community.
Required Qualifications MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Demonstrated expertise in blockchain technology, including familiarity with frameworks such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in blockchain development, such as Solidity, Python, JavaScript, GO, C# or other relevant languages
A commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students
Preferred Qualifications PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with logistics, decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or other emerging blockchain applications
Familiarity with smart contract development, blockchain security, or consensus algorithms
Evidence of successful grant writing or experience in securing external research funding
Industry experience in blockchain development or consulting
Academic experience in higher education
Commitment to interdisciplinary research and potential for collaboration with industry partners
