Job Summary:
The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Good organizational skills. Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers, including word processing. Ability to coordinate faculty/course development as well as teach courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, adult/continuing education, or a technology related discipline.
