We seek candidates with an MA/MS in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field, PhD preferred. Applicants with a JD will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants with advanced degrees in Criminal Justice and/or Criminology. The area of specialization is open. We are seeking an individual who can teach across our undergraduate curriculum. The ideal candidate will be able to teach any required courses in our undergraduate curriculum, especially Introduction to Criminal Justice, Police and Society, Corrections, as well as Crime and Behavior. Strong candidates will also have the ability to teach undergraduate elective courses. This position is a 9-month contract that includes teaching in face-to-face and online formats. Candidates are expected to (1) work positively with students, staff, faculty, and the community; (2) teach a variety of undergraduate courses; (3) provide academic advising services to undergraduate students; and (4) provide service to the department, college, university, and community.
