Job Purpose
We are seeking one candidate to teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice in the Department of Sociology & Political Science.

Essential Functions
Teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice, compatible with departmental needs. Service to the department and university. Continued improvement of teaching using research-based practices. Work collaboratively with the department, college, and university.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Sociology – Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field by the start date (August 1, 2025). Applicant must be qualified to teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice and support active techniques in the classroom (collaborative learning, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience. Ability to teach online courses to meet departmental needs.

Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2025. Position is renewable based on performance and needs of the department.
