Job Description The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Family and Community Medicine, is seeking an Education Coordinator to assist with the operational and administrative functions of the residency program for the UAB Selma Family Medical Campus. Please attach an updated resume with application submission. To coordinate the activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g. medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs). To maintain records, schedules and program information. To perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Creation, maintenance and correspondence of rotation and daily resident and faculty schedules. Creation, distribution and collection of monthly and semi-annual evaluations. Liaison to all residency program stakeholders including but not limited to current residents, prospective residents, faculty, preceptors, hospital, and institution. Maintains and releases data documents of residents, faculty, program files for accreditation and general reporting. Coordinates and manages all processes related to resident onboarding and off-boarding. Manages application and renewal of all resident licenses, certifications, and credentialing. Co-coordinates didactics and annual residency events including orientation, retreat, graduation, in-training exam, etc. Maintains and disseminates residency policies and curriculum. Coordinates medical students and other visiting learners’ schedules. Coordinates residency interview season; participates in and coordinates residency recruitment fair participation and logistics. Manages residency program specific websites and surveys (ACGME, ABFM, GME Census, FREIDA, etc.). Performs office support as needed to faculty. Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range:
$19.80 – $32.15 Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
