Instructional Technology and Design The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Instructional Designer. This position is responsible for assisting faculty with designing, developing, and supporting online, hybrid, and traditional courses.
This position collaborates with faculty:
providing pedagogical and instructional technology support, assisting with creation of materials, and participating in/conducting internal, QM-based course reviews to ensure learning methods and materials are consistent with Quality Matters and university standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting other departmental staff with technical documentation, supporting end-users of the university’s LMS, and professional development offerings. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field is required; master’s degree in instructional technology, design, or a related field is preferred; One to two years of experience in instructional design is preferred; experience in a higher education environment is preferred; and teaching experience (online/hybrid formats is preferred).
