JOB DESCRIPTION
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an Education Specialist I to join Academic Technology a unit within UFIT. The successful candidate will work with Training Specialists to create and deliver accessible engaging interactive face to face and online training for faculty and staff. Ability to manage multiple assignments successfully, communicate effectively with stakeholders and prioritize tasks. Proficiency with technology and ability to train users in an Artificial Intelligence evolving workforce in multiple platforms preferred. Working knowledge of learning management systems such as Canvas, Articulate Storyline and Rise is a plus. Knowledgeable of web accessibility standards. The candidate selected must be able to adapt to rapidly changing technological learning environment. Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are: Interpret and work with subject matter experts to design and develop necessary IT training to address the needs of staff and the entire UF community
Ability to design and develop training in learning management platforms such as Articulate Storyline and/or Rise and Canvas
Effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members and able to prioritize tasks Ensure all training materials and practices meet the accessibility standards
Update UFIT Training web pages, evaluate training deliverables, and document internal procedures

Benefits Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year. Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.
