Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
- Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)
- with team leadership experience for a multi-year project to sustain and develop training courses for a defense customer.

Duties:

Instructional System Design:
- Lead the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of instructional materials and educational programs
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging, effective, and compliant training content suitable for web-based, classroom, and/or hybrid delivery
- Ensure all instructional materials meet the defense customers standards which include specifications for SCORM compliance and Section 508 accessibility.

ISD Leadership:
- Serve under a Project Manager and provide leadership for a multi-functional instructional design team from project initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Liaise with the customer as necessary to ensure seamless communication and delivery
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, contributing substantially to their growth and professional development
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; masters degree preferred.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years in instructional design with proven experience leading training development projects, preferably ones within a military context that have used the ADDIE approach to instructional design
- Must demonstrate 2 or more years of solid years of experience leading a team of at least 3 subordinate team members
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning theory supporting web-based, classroom, and hybrid delivery modalities
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to deliver high quality products on time.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with immersive technologies (AR/VR) in training environments is a significant plus.
