Position Description:

The E-Learning Instructional Design Support Specialist will work directly with experienced program personnel on various assignments that support Help Resources and 508 Compliance within a Government agency. The E-Learning Instructional Design Support Specialist will perform a variety of routine and well-defined duties that provide support and contribute to the program’s overall mission. This position is part-time and remote. Must work on Eastern Standard Time. Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of experienced Government personnel, the candidate will assist with tasks such as: Complete a full analysis of Help Resources for 508 compliance: Comb through each topic and identify which topics meet 508 compliance development guidelines. Create a list of each topic that needs remediation with the actions needed to make the resource 508-compliant. Develop a schedule for remediation. Remediate each topic for 508 compliance using Articulate Storyline 360. Keep an accurate log of project statuses on Trello. Additional duties as needed.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have at least four (4) years of instructional design experience. Must also have at least four (4) years of e-learning modules experience, specifically Articulate Storyline 360. Must be able to create effective, engaging learning experiences. Must be able to apply best practices from education, design, psychology, systems theory, and creative writing to create eLearning and other performance support solutions. Must be someone who can hit the ground running, and who can handle basic training on instructional design and development. Must understand Universal Design for Learning to succeed in this role. Knowledge and familiarity with 508 compliance. Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy Teamwork is an essential quality Strong verbal communication skills with a positive impact Experience working both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to multitask effectively while performing job duties, including the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Proficient computer and software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Perform as a delivery-focused, results-oriented, proactive self-starter Be a collaborative team player with high professional standards and a work ethic Ability to join new projects quickly and work effectively with a diverse and dispersed group of people Ability to successfully clear NACI background check
