Overview:

Under the direction of the Principal and Assistant Principal, the Instructional Coach will support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels and develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement through improved instruction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with: hiring and orientation of instructional staff; employee evaluations; classroom management; staff development, training and in-services; Provides and receives feedback Coordinates orders for Curriculum/Resources Assists teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices. Assists teachers in creating materials that align with the curriculum. Provides support in analyzing student assessment data. Support, implement and assess various instructional programs and program effects on student achievement. Provides support for classroom motivation and management strategies. Models lessons when appropriate. Supports substitute teachers in carrying out their duties. Assists the principal in the evaluation of classroom instruction. Assists in implementing instructional strategies, including supporting the needs of diverse learners, delivery methods, assessment, and staff development techniques for improvement of instruction. Assists in the orientation of new staff members to the teaching environment especially as it relates to the area of students, personnel policy and procedures and general building practices. All other duties as assigned by the Principal.
